The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners are slated to approve a resolution for summer property tax levying at Tuesday’s meeting, with other business including interviewing Dawn Cubitt for a partial term on the county’s Public Works Board.
The property tax levying will occur on July 1 of this year, with 4.01 mills to be levied.
Meanwhile, Dawn Cubitt, recently retired director of the county’s Central Dispatch, is being interviewed by the commissioners at the May 19th meeting to take over a three-year term on the Public Works Board, with that partial term to end December 31, 2028. She was appointed earlier this month to a five year term on the Sanilac Health Board, with that term expiring April 15, 2031.
The commissioners will meet tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Sanilac County Courthouse. Other upcoming meetings include Sandusky City Council, who will be meeting Monday night to approve road-pulverizing work on Gaige Street, as well as the purchase and installation of a new grit classifier at the city’s waste-water treatment plant.
