A Florida man is expected to be extradited back to his home state after being spotted at a Tuscola County gas station Sunday night.

Tuscola County Sheriff’s Deputy Kyle Broecker was at a local gas station, refueling his patrol car shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, when he observed a suspicious vehicle drive into the parking lot. Running the car’s license plate, the deputy learned the registered owner had a nationwide warrant for his arrest after allegedly committing a felony in Florida.

The deputy waited until the suspect vehicle left the business before making a traffic stop and confirming the driver was the one wanted by the Pasco County Florida Sheriff’s Office.  Pasco County confirmed they would extradite the suspect.

The driver was arrested and is awaiting extradition proceedings on fugitive from justice charges.
