Deckerville teen injured in rollover accident

(Forester Township) –

A Deckerville teenager sustained injuries in a one-vehicle rollover accident in Sanilac County’s Forester Township Wednesday evening.

According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, deputies responded to the scene on Goetze Road, near Deckerville Road around 9 p.m.

Deputies say the 17-year old driver lost control of his vehicle, entered a ditch and was ejected as the vehicle rolled over several times.

Deputies say a seatbelt was not being worn at the time of the crash and alcohol is believed to have been a actor in the accident.

The teen was taken by Sanilac EMS to Deckerville Hospital for treatment of injuries.

Deckerville fire department assisted deputies at the scene.
