Investigators do not believe alcohol was a factor in a single vehicle crash last night in Marlette Township.

Sanilac County Central Dispatch was contacted around 9:25 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, with a report of a single vehicle crash that occurred on Gosline Road north of Montgomery Road in Marlette Township. Deputies, along with Marlette Police Department, Marlette Fire Department and Aspire Marlette EMS, were dispatched to the scene.

Initial investigation determined that a 2010 Jeep Liberty, driven by a 60-year-old Yale woman, was traveling northbound on Gosline Road when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, struck multiple trees on the northeast side of the intersection, and rolled into the ditch.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle after sustaining possible injuries and was transported by Aspire Marlette EMS to Aspire Marlette Hospital for treatment. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash.
