A routine traffic stop regarding expired plates turned into much more for two Tuscola County Sheriff Deputies on Saturday, April 6.

Deputies Marcus Armstrong and Kyle Bischer conducted a traffic stop around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, pulling the vehicle over on M-24 and Bevens Road in Indianfields Township.

The stop was initially due to the vehicle having an expired plate and no insurance, but investigation of the scene and an interview of the vehicle’s occupants ended in the arrest of a 38-year-old Caro area man for possession of methamphetamine.

The man also had several open warrants for him in Saginaw County.
