Croswell woman injured after falling asleep behind wheel while driving

A Croswell woman was injured after she fell asleep behind the wheel and rolled her car Wednesday morning.

Sanilac County Sheriff’s deputies, as well as Croswell EMS and Fire Department, were dispatched shortly after 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, after a call reported a single vehicle rollover crash on Galbraith Line Road in Fremont Township.

The accident occurred near Fargo Road, with investigation finding that the 37-year-old female driver had been traveling alone in her 2024 Ford Bronco when she fell asleep while driving. The eastbound vehicle crossed the roadway and struck a culvert before overturning and landing on its side.

The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries, and was treated on scene by Croswell EMS before transport to McLaren Port Huron for further treatment of injuries.
