With several schools already back in session and more to join this week and next, students around the Thumb are heading back to class.
Starting classes this week are Tuscola County’s Mayville and Reese schools on Monday, August 21, Cass City and Unionville-Sebewaing schools on August 22 and Kingston Schools on August 23.
Also starting classes today are Lapeer County’s North Branch, Dryden and Imlay City schools, with St. Clair County’s Capac starting classes tomorrow, Tuesday, August 22. Tuscola County’s Millington and Caro schools will be starting classes next week on Monday, August 28, with all Sanilac County schools also starting that day.
While Ubly Schools begin classes on Wednesday, August 23, most other Huron County schools, including Harbor Beach, Bad Axe, Caseville and Owendale-Gagetown will wait until August 29 to begin classes. Yale Schools also begins on August 29, with the rest of St. Clair County schools to begin on September 5, after the Labor Day weekend.
