“The Sanilac County Community Foundation (SCCF) is overjoyed to be able to directly support our local Sanilac County First Responder Agencies. This first-time grant cycle is made possible due to four SCCF Funds: Chief Dave Hall First Responders Fund, Sefton-Leggett Legacy Fund, A.L. Degel / R.L. Shambarger First Responders Fund, and Donald and Diana Thomas First Responders Fund. This is a true testament to local money supporting local organizations. All of these monies are private donations with the intent to better Sanilac County, and the Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to foster this advancement of our community” states Joshua Robinson, executive director of the Sanilac County Community Foundation.

Since its inception, the Community Foundation has granted over $4 million dollars into Sanilac County. “Multiple of these grants are being used to leverage matching funds from outside grants or within the departments to provide more monies for the agencies. A special thank you to Sheriff Paul Rich and those involved hosting the Front Line Hero Ceremony at which this check was presented.”
