Daniel Babcock, the CEO of the United Healthcare Partners will be retiring on January 1, 2023. The Board of Directors for the UHP has announced that Angie McConnachie has been named the new Chief Executive Officer.

McConnachie previously served as the CEO of Deckerville Community Hospital where she worked for over eighteen years. Since 2020, however, she has acted as the Chief Operating Officer of the UHP. Born and raised in the Thumb, McConnachie received her BSN and MSN in Administration and Leadership from Western Governors University.

“I am excited and honored to take on the role of CEO for United Healthcare Partners,” said McConnachie. “I have worked in rural health for over 20 years, it is something that is very important to me. Healthcare never stops changing, but I look forward to building on our strong foundation as we continue to evolve to support the future needs of our communities.”

UHP is the result of an affiliation agreement established by Marlette Regional Hospital and Deckerville Community Hospital in 2018.
