Two injured in Evergreen Township crash

Two people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Sanilac County’s Evergreen Township Friday afternoon. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Deckerville and Germania Road. Deputies along with the Argyle Fire Department, Cass City MMR, and Sanilac EMS were dispatched to the scene. Deputies say a 2015 Kia driven by a 46-year-old Port Huron woman was northbound on Germania Road and failed to stop at the stop sign. The Port Huron woman struck a 43-year-old Deckerville woman driving a 2007 Jeep headed eastbound on Deckerville road. The Deckerville woman was transported by Flight Care to St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw for treatment of her injuries. The Port Huron woman was transported to McKenzie Hospital by Cass City MMR for treatment of her injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
