The Sanilac County Intermediate School District recently set their budget for the upcoming school year with a few changes in how funding is appropriated. The 2021-2022 budget has nearly $1 million dollars more in revenues than this years budget of $12.6 million with the largest increase in revenues going to General Education to the tune of $800,000 dollars. ISD officials say the General Education fund is expected to have expenditures of around $3.53 million leaving $3,200 dollars to add to fund equity. Overall, the ISD is planning on expenditures of $13.2 million dollars, allowing them to add another $167,000 dollars to fund equity. The ISD is projecting a fund equity of $5.1 million dollars in the next school year, a slight decrease from this year’s $5.2 million dollars fund equity.
