Vaccination clinics cancelled in Sanilac County

(SANILAC COUNTY) – Following the lead of health departments across the country, the Sanilac County Health Department has made the decision to cancel the Johnson and Johnson Vaccination Clinics that were scheduled for later this week.

County health officials say the CDC and FDA have requested a pause in all Johnson & Johnson vaccine clinics due to potential health concerns.

Cases of people developing blood clots were reported Tuesday.

The Johnson and Johnson vaccination clinics scheduled for Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16th are canceled in Sanilac County.

Officials say clinics will now be offered at Community Mental Health for Moderna vaccine only.

Pfizer clinics, for those 16 and older, are scheduled to be in the area in the future.
