No increase in Sanilac; Lapeer over 100 COVID-19 cases

An updated report on the coronavirus in the five-county region in the Thumb continues to show increases both in the number of COVID-19 cases and the number of deaths.

As of Sunday afternoon, Huron County has six confirmed cases, still the lowest in the region. Tuscola County has 45 cases with seven deaths while Sanilac maintained their 23 cases – the same as reported last Friday, along with two deaths.

Lapeer County continues it’s trend of rapidly growing numbers of cases which now stands at 101 with six deaths, all happening last week. St. Clair County is closing in on 200 cases with six deaths.

The State of Michigan now has more than 25,000 cases of COVID-19 and reports more than 1,500 deaths.
