10 illegal aliens were picked up Monday morning in Bad Axe, six of them as a result of a traffic stop made by Bad Axe police around 5:30 a.m. on East Huron Avenue and Hanselman Street. Authorities say the suspects in the vehicle were found to be illegal aliens in the area doing roofing jobs. They were detained and held at the Huron County Jail for Border Patrol. Three hours later, Bad Axe police assisted Border Patrol agents while stopping a vehicle on Outer Drive in Bad Axe where four more illegal aliens were detained. The suspects told authorities they were working in the area as part of an Indiana roofing company. All ten people were held at the jail until Border Patrol took them into federal custody.
