This is an update to a breaking story from this morning.

Classes have resumed at Cros-Lex Schools after police determined that there was no threat. Below is a follow up letter from Superintendent Dan Gilbertson:

9/19/2029

Good Morning Families and Parents:

This is an update to our earlier safety announcement. The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Department have completed a thorough search of the high school and have cleared the facility of any type of dangerous threat.

I am particularly appreciative to all of our local law enforcement agencies from the City of Croswell, Village of Lexington, and the County Sheriff’s Departments, who have worked together to ensure our students remain safe here at Crowell-Lexington Community Schools.

There will be a continued investigation to determine who is responsible for making this threat and I ask anyone with information about this threat to report to Call 8-555-OK2SAY Text: 652729 (OK2SAY) Email: OK2SAY@mi.gov or contact the High School Administration at 810.679.1500.

Separately, all power has been restored at both the middle & high school campus and all students are safely back in their classes.

Sincerely,

Daniel Gilbertson

Superintendent
