Sandusky police close to 3,000 calls for 2018

Sandusky police responded to over 230 incidents last month as they close in on 3,000 total calls for assistance in 2018. Chief Bret Lester gave his report to council last week, noting they have responded to more than 2,900 calls this year. 46 traffic stops were made and 43 verbal warnings issued. 16 adults and two juveniles were arrested on various charges and 13 traffic violations written. For the year, Sandusky police have arrested 141 adults, 18 juveniles and responded to 39 calls outside of the city limits.
