The Sanilac County DEA Drug Take Back Day continues to benefit the area in removing opioid pills and other medications from being used by individuals that they were not intended for. The Sheriff’s Office received two and a half pounds on Saturday. Since April, Croswell Police have taken in just over 10 pounds and Marlette Police have received nearly 23 pounds. Since April, DTF and other police agencies have collected a total of 173.4 lbs. of unused opioid and other pill form medications.
