With a promise of a grant of around $81,000 from the St. Clair County Community Foundation, the Capac library facade project has progressed to the point where bid will be accepted later this year. Friends of the Capac Library District have raised over $40,000 towards the project that will bring new brick to the front of the library on Main Street. The building was purchasaed by the village in 2013 and has had interior upgrades to allow for educational rooms and a conference room. Work is expected to begin on the facade in the spring.
