Lapeer K-9 unit makes bust
(LAPEER COUNTY) – A routine traffic stop late Sunday night in Lapeer County resulted in the seizure of drugs and cash.
Lapeer County Sheriffs department, using it’s K-9 team of Deputy Ruzicka and Axel located cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and illegal prescription pills from two subjects.
According to authorities, both suspects were arrested and their money confiscated, as it appeared to be proceeds from drug dealing.
Axel the K-9 has been doing extremely well and continues to get drugs and weapons off the streets.
Axel has been with the office for just over a year and continues to accelerate in his training and performance.
