Although there are several opponents to an attempted recall effort in Mayfield Township, the author of the campaign says she intends to continue to try and collect the required names. Mayfield Township Supervisor Dianna Ireland is the bulls-eye of the recall filed by township resident Joy Boots. Ireland, and the township board, voted to start their own fire department earlier this year. They have sine rescinded the action, but Boots intends to follow through with her attempted recall. If enough signatures are gathered, the recall could be on the November ballot.
