DTE Upgrades to Help Reduce Power Outages

Spurred by events such as the wind storm that roared through the area earlier this month, DTE is in the midst of a $4 billion dollar upgrade program throughout southeastern Michigan over the next five years, aimed to reduce the number of power failures and the duration of any outages. Crews are working throughout the Thumb Region, trimming more than 300 miles of trees in Lapeer County while also working on a new sub-station in the Almont area.
