Active Shooter Training at MRH

Marlette Regional Hospital will be teaming up with the Marlette Police Department on Friday for a mock drill to assess both organizations’ readiness in the event of an active shooter. Hospital staff have participated in previous active shooter training teaching them to “Run, Hide, Fight” through actual mock simulation and/or online training. The full scale active shooter drill will be held at Marlette Regional Hospital and to facilitate a realistic environment, the time of the drill will not be released to staff nor the public. Signage will be posted at the facility’s entrance doors as well as personal notification to patients and visitors in the building at the time of the event. Observers will be throughout the facility monitoring the actions taken and a debriefing will be held at the conclusion of the drill to modify practices
