The Blue Water Folk Society is sponsoring the Rising Stars Music Competition for Young Musicians, holding auditions April 28 at Cros-Lex Middle School. Registration begins at 1:00pm.and closes promptly at 1:30pm. as auditions begin right after registration is completed. Entrants will compete in age groups 17 & under or 18-25 years old, should be prepared to perform two songs of their choice, and all music must be live. Top performers will be invited to compete on May 19, at the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum. A total of 12 cash prizes will be awarded to the top three in each category, in each age group. Winners will be invited to perform on stage at Thumbfest in Lexington September 1, 2018.
