Around 2am this morning, Tuscola County sheriff deputies joined in a pursuit that originated in the City of Flint by officers who were attempting to take an armed robbery suspect into custody. The chase entered Tuscola County’s Arbela Township where several attempts were initiated to stop the subject with spike strips, but were unsuccessful. The chase continued into Lapeer County where Tuscola and Lapeer deputies deployed additional spike strips, deflating several tires but the suspect kept going. Deputies finally successfully deployed spike strips that ended the chase where a 35-year old male was taken into custody.
