(ST. CLAIR) – The St Clair County Dive Team assisted St Clair police Saturday morning with the recovery of evidence from the St Clair River. Police were able to determine evidence from a crime may have been thrown into the river during a Breaking and Entering at the St. Clair Inn January 19th.
Dive Team members used a drone to survey the river upstream of the divers for ice flows and searched several hundred feet of the shoreline before locating a wheeled cart that had been used in the burglary a few feet offshore.
Ropes were hooked to the cart to retrieve it and the evidence was later turned over to Police.
