Sanilac Drug Task Force arrests suspects on drug charges

The Sanilac Drug Task Force, armed with a search warrant made contact with the residents of a home in 3500 block of Brush St. in the Village of Deckerville January 5th. DTF had been compiling information since August for the search warrant based on multiple citizen tips and investigation of sales of prescription pills and marijuana from the residence.

 The results of the search warrant found prescription medications, marijuana, packaging materials, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia with evidence of illegal prescription medication sales.

 45 year old Michelle M. Long was booked and released on maintaining a drug house and 17 year old Robert M. Long was booked and released on possession of marijuana. Arraignment in 73rd-2 District Court has already taken place.

Other Felony charges on selling of prescription medications will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office upon completion of the investigation and lab results of the drugs seized.

 The Drug Task Force was assisted by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Uniform Division, the Deckerville Police Department, as well as the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Division.

01/06/18 10:30 PM   The Sanilac Drug Task Force working with the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrols conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of M-46 and M-53 (Scott’s Quick Stop 5. N Van Dyke Rd – Lamotte Twp.)

 The occupants during the course of the traffic investigation were found to be in illegal possession of Schedule II drugs and various heroin use based paraphernalia.   The driver, 29 year old Cory James Parker and passenger, 32 year old Stanley Collier Bass; both from Flint were arrested and arraigned on felony possession of a controlled substance.
