( LAMOTTE TOWNSHIP) – A 27-year old Grand Blanc man believed to have suffered a seizure while driving, lost control and entered a ditch in Lamotte Township Sunday afternoon.
Sanilac County Sheriffs deputies responded to M-53 near Mushroom Road around 12:30 p.m. after a citizen reported the accident. The southbound vehicle left the road and came to rest against a group of trees.
The driver was assisted by citizens and an off-duty officer until EMS arrived. He was taken to Marlette Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Deputies said the man was wearing a seat belt and alcohol is not a factor in the crash.
