Troopers from the Caro Post responded to a single vehicle rollover crash in Huron County’s Brookfield Township Sunday afternoon on around 2 p.m. Troopers said a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control on the gravel roadway.
The SUV went into a ditch and rolled several times before landing on it’s wheels and bursting in to flames, engulfing the vehicle. Troopers said Kraig Elliot, 31, of Sterling Heights was severely burned and was transported to an area hospital before being airlifted to a Flint burn unit for treatment where he remains in critical condition.
