Port Huron man drowns in St. Clair River

A 38-year old Port Huron man drowned in the St. Clair River early Tuesday evening after going into the river along the boardwalk, south of the Blue Water Bridge according to police. Rescue crews didn’t know the exact time the man went in to the water and witnesses said he never resurfaced. Port Huron fire rescue crews responded and said they could see the man in about 20 feet of water. Further details of the incident weren’t available late Tuesday, as police continued their investigation and questioned witnesses.
