Two men arrested in connection with death

According to a press release from the Tuscola County sheriff department, two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal heroin overdose last month in Elmwood Township of Tuscola County.

Emily Dennis was discovered dead when Tuscola County Deputies responded to a home on Dodge Rd near Cass City on April 20th. Her boyfriend, 22 year old Adam Maxson was charged with 5 felonies, including delivery of a controlled substance causing death, delivery and manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of Controlled substance – inducing a person to violate the law by soliciting, inducing or intimidating a person to deliver heroin.

The other suspect, 23 year old Tyler Meffer is charged with delivery of a controlled substance causing death, delivery and manufacture of a controlled substance and controlled substance – inducing a person to violate the law by soliciting, inducing or intimidating a person to deliver heroin.

Both men are in custody awaiting further court appearances.
