Lexington gas station robbed a second time

Police investigate robbery

(Lexington) – The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the second Armed Robbery that occurred in the past 16 days at the Valero gas Station located at 5621 Main Street in the Village of Lexington.

On Thursday, April 20, 2017 at approximately 04:26 a.m., Sanilac Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a gas station attendant at the Valero gas station reporting that an armed robbery had just occurred. The initial investigation reveals that a white male entered the Valero station armed with a silver revolver at 04:24 a.m. and demanded cash from the register.

The suspect is described as being a white male, 5’8” to 5’9” tall, heavier build, described as possibly being in late 20’s or early 30’s. Last seen wearing dark colored baggy pants, a light blue button up shirt, dark colored bandana over his face and a two additional brighter colored bandana’s covering his head. The subject was described to have blue eyes and possibly blond hair.

• The firearm is described as being a silver revolver.
• Taken during the Robbery is an undisclosed amount of Cash.
• There were no injuries reported during this incident.

Investigators do not believe that the suspect committing today’s Armed Robbery is the same person observed committing the Tuesday, April 4, 2017 Armed Robbery.

The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Croswell Police Department and the Lexington Police Department.
