Road Commission awards road bid

Albrecht Sand and Gravel of Sandusky was awarded road projects by the Sanilac County Road Commission board at their meeting Wednesday morning. The local business was the lowest of three companies competing for seven planned projects later this year, coming in at just over two million dollars. They were also low bidder on six other project that will be funded either by townships or the State. Among the projects to be done is a stretch of Galbraith Line from M-19 in Speaker Township to Todd Road in Fremont Township estimate to cost $475,000.

In other board news, approval was given to the management team to place weight restrictions on local roads as needed, depending on weather conditions.
