Three people were injured in a two-car collision around 6:25pm Tuesday on M-53 just north of the Bay City-Foresteville intersection in Sanilac County’s Greenleaf Township. According to Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies, a 2007 Ram pickup driven by a 39-year-old Marlette woman was traveling south on M-53 when she lost control of the vehicle due to slippery road conditions and crossed the centerline striking a 2013 Dodge Dart head-on.
The driver of the pickup and her passenger, an 84-year-old Marlette woman, and the driver of the car, a 43-year-old Swartz Creek man, were taken to Hills and Dales Hospital in Cass City for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not reported.
Air bags deployed in both vehicles and police believe that all involved were wearing their seatbelts.
