(Sandusky) – Sanilac County Road Commission Engineer Robb Falls informed Commissioners of preventative maintenance work that has been completed, during his report to the board at yesterday’s meeting. Falls said over $408,000 had been spent on five bridge projects that were part of the Critical Bridge Program.
The bridges worked on are on Germainia, Snover and French Line Roads over the south branch of the Cass River along with Galbraith Line bridge over the Black River and the Stilson Road bridge over Elk Creek. As part of the funding agreement, Sanilac County paid 5% of the total costs, or just over $24,000 with remaining funding coming from federal and state sources.
