BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) – A Kentucky man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing his father as they attended a Sunday church service.
In a news release, Bowling Green police said 21-year-old Ethan Buckley was charged with assault following the stabbing at Hillvue Heights Baptist Church.
Witness Ashlyn Rice was standing at the back of the crowded church during the 9:30 a.m. service when she heard a commotion occurring toward the front. She said it happened near the end of the service while a guest pastor was speaking.
Local media outlets reports the assailant was subdued by congregation members and security workers.
Police say no other injuries were reported and Buckley was taken to the Warren County Regional Jail.
