Former Dryden Schools Superintendent sentenced in second bank robbery case

(LAPEER COUNTY) — The former Dryden Community Schools Superintendent that plead guilty to robbing the Oxford Bank in Dryden Township has been sentenced to a minimum of 4-years, 9-months in prison.51-year old Thomas Goulette of Armada Township is currently serving a 3 1/2 to 20-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to the armed robbery of the Tri-County Bank in Brockway Township near Yale on January 7. Goulette entered the Oxford Bank branch the following day and demanded money from the tellers. Authorities say he implied that he had a weapon, but didn’t brandish a gun. Goulette served the Dryden School district from 2005-2013.
