This Saturday, April 30th, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s office will once again be participating in the semi-annual National Drug Take Back Day, helping local residents safely dispose of any unwanted or expired pills.

The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Sheriff’s Office, located at 1170 Michigan Road, Port Huron Township. At this time, only pills are able to be returned, with liquids, creams, inhalers and syringes prohibited from the take back project. Residents unable to make the Saturday event are encouraged to turn in their pills throughout the week during business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Office has collected over 3200 pounds of pills over the past 21 Drug Take Back events.
