Two injured in crash

Two Tuscola County residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident early Saturday morning. According to the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Department, Deputies responded to Bray Road and Ormes Road in Tuscola Township just before 2:30 am. Witnesses told police a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north on Bray Road and ran off the roadway onto the right shoulder. The car then crossed the centerline and ran off the roadway on the left side of the road, hitting several trees.

The driver of the Malibu, a 34-year-old man from Vassar, was unconscious and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital by Flightcare. A 25-year-old female passenger from Millington, was taken to St. Mary’s for treatment of minor injuries.

Police said alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the accident which is still under investigation.
