Sandusky

The seat of Sanilac County, Sandusky offers all the services and resources you’d expect from a much larger city: top-quality medical care; up-to-date library; excellent police, fire and emergency services; abundant power; a recycling center; senior citizen housing and more. We’re close enough to larger cities for convenience, but far enough to maintain our rural character and small town values. Farming and industry combine to make Sandusky an honest, hard working, progressive community. If you’re looking for quality of life, look no further than Sandusky!

Visit Sandusky for a variety of activities, including an 18-hole golf course, bowling alley, a triplex movie theater and drive-in, and much more! Great shopping and delicious dining options await you in Sandusky as well. In town on a Friday evening this summer? Check out Sandusky’s very own Lawn Chair Music Series, offering a variety of music each Friday evening from the last weekend in June to the second weekend in August. It’s free, and located in a beautiful setting in front of the historic Sanilac County Courthouse.

Take a stroll on Sandusky’s beautiful 60 acres of walking trails, or take the kids to the all new Splash Pad at Sandusky City Park. There’s a newly renovated airport featuring a 3,500 foot runway and a brand new, state of the art terminal. And in the winter months, visit the Colleen J. Howe Ice Arena for an open skate session or to take in a hockey game. Whatever it is you’re looking for, you’ll certainly find it in Sandusky!
