(SANDUSKY) — The Sanilac County Animal Control Shelter will continue building renovations thanks to a successful fundraiser last month. Woman’s Life Chapter #867 of Sanilac County hosted a “Dine Out for the Dogs” fundraiser at the Forester Inn, raising $2,660 for the shelter. Residents generously donated a total of $2,160 and the Woman’s Life Insurance Society matched an additional $500 donation. Sanilac County Animal Control Officer Jim Matson was recently awarded a check. The funds will be used to buy stainless steel and veterinary quality cat cages for the homeless, lost, and stray cats that are housed at the shelter. Woman’s Life Chapter members are volunteers dedicated to raising money for worthy causes in their own communities.
