Suspected heroin dealer arrested during traffic stop

(CHINA TOWNSHIP) — A suspected drug dealer was arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop on Fred Moore Highway in St. Clair County’s China Township. Deputies stopped the vehicle west of King Road around Noon and seized $1,100 worth of heroin during a search of the vehicle. A 68-year old Mt. Clemens man was arrested and a female passenger was released. The man faces charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin, maintaining a drug vehicle, and habitual offender. Drug Task Force officers were assisted by road patrol deputies and the U.S. Border Patrol K-9 unit.
