Eastern Michigan Fairground Improvements

Visitors to the Eastern Michigan Fair in Imlay City will be welcomed with a new sign this year at the entrance gates. Fair Board volunteers installed the new steel archway 27 feet in the air last weekend, in an effort to promote Imlay City as the Gateway to the Thumb. Imlay City is also planning on begining their M-53 Gateway project in the coming weeks. Other improvements at the fairgrounds include a new $86,000 4-H barn while another new $190,000 50 x 172 foot barn will be constructed and be home to the fair’s Miracle of Life exhibit.
