The Village of Peck is proud to announce the successful completion of a major energy sustainability project, made possible through the Community Energy Management Grant awarded in late 2024.
This $100,000 no-match grant covered the costs of a comprehensive energy audit and the installation of a solar energy system at the Peck Community Center. The total project cost, including the energy audit, was $115,000. The Village is also applying for a $15,000 direct pay reimbursement, ensuring the entire project is fully funded—with no cost to Peck residents.
The new solar installation is already making a tangible difference. The most recent electric bill for the community center was just $5.00, a remarkable decrease that demonstrates immediate savings and a more sustainable future for Peck.
This project underscores the Village of Peck’s commitment to energy efficiency, environmental stewardship, and fiscal responsibility. By leveraging available grant funding and direct pay programs, the Village has ensured that residents benefit from long-term energy savings at no personal cost.
