Though details are still coming in, charges are being pursued in a domestic violence case in St. Clair County, with the Michigan State Police investigating.
Michigan State Police from the Lapeer post responded around 2 p.m. yesterday, April 27, to an active scene at a home on Kilgore Road in Kenockee Township. Though Michigan State Police reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Monday that there was no threat to the public, the public was still urged to avoid the area and expect a heavy police presence as the situation was resolved.
After lengthy negotiations, the male suspect surrendered to police around 5:20 p.m., with no injuries reported during the arrest.
He will be lodged at the St. Clair County Jail on multiple felony charges, with state police reporting that more details will be shared following his arraignment.
