Sand Point man injured while working on vehicle

A 74-year old Sand Point man was injured last Thursday afternoon when an open door on a vehicle wedged him between the

steps of a residence on Sand Point and the door. Huron County Sheriffs Deputies say Michael Siegfried was outside of a vehicle he and 19-year old Nicholas Michael Siegfried of Bay City were working on. Nicholas put the vehicle into reverse and pressed on the brakes, which didn’t work, and the open door pushed Michael Siegfried into wooden steps. The victim sustained leg injuries and was taken to Scheurer Hospital of Pigeon for treatment.
