Early Sunday morning, Sanailac County Sheriff Deputies responded to a residence in Worth Township after
receiving a report of a male subject with a gun and shots fired during an altercation in the 7000 block of Birchwood Road in Sanilac County’s Worth Township. Deputies, along with Officers from Croswell and Lexington Police Departments responded to the area to investigate and spoke with witnesses. During interviews, police heard an additional suspected gunshot in the area and responded to the residence, finding an active verbal confrontation taking place. Deputies gained entry into the residence and secure the suspect and additional occupants of the residence. A 39-year-old Lexington man was arrested and is lodged at the Sanilac County Jail pending arraignment on assault and firearms related charges.
