Port Huron police are investigating what appears to be a possible murder suicide in Port Huron. According to a news release from the Port Huron Police Department, a family friend was called to the house at about 1 p.m. Saturday and found the resident of the home, a 53-year-old woman, dead inside the house and lying next to her mother. The mother is 79 years old and believed to be a Burtchville Township resident. Police found a handgun that had apparently been used in the shootings. The case remains under investigation.
