(PORT HURON) – The Marlette girls basketball team added another win to their record Thursday morning when they knocked off Yale 46-32 in the St. Clair County Community College Holiday Classic. The Lady Red Raiders, behind the play of Emily Schaub and Halle Reed grabbed a slim 24-22 lead at the half and outscored Yale 22-10 in the second half to seal the win.
Schaub finished the game with 23 points, including a 10 of 13 performance from the free throw line and grabbed nine rebounds. Reed Chipped in with seven points while Sydney Ladd and Sydney Parker scored four points each. Marlette was 15 of 21 from the stripe as a team.
The Lady Red Raiders return to action Thursday when they host Harbor Beach in a key GTC-East showdown set to tip-off around 7:30 p.m. They will entertain Reese in a GTC crossover game on Tuesday.
