Brown City has been notified by Michigan Township Participating Plan officials that they have received a grant of $2,500 towards the purchase of a push camera for the DPW. With the equipment, workers will be able to better identify problem areas in the city’s water and sewer lines. The city’s matching funds to get the grant will come from funds in the Sewer and Storm Sewer Funds.
Brown City is also cracking down on blight, having issued 10 notices and eight junk car letters. Fines for failure to comply begin at $50.
