Cros-Lex looking for superintendent

(Croswell) – With their newly elected members seated and the board re-organized, the Croswell-Lexington school board is turning their focus on finding a new superintendent. The district joins several others in the region conducting a search for a top administrator including Deckerville and Sandusky. Gary Richards, who previously held similar positions at Dryden and Imlay City, stepped in as interim superintendent Tuesday night. He is the third person to give direction to the district in rcents months. Richards said he wants to keep the lines of communication open and work with staff to balance a budget and if needed, to make necessary cuts before the end of the school year.

The board set the salary range for the new superintendent between $115,000 and $135,000.
